When we introduced the Concert Series basses we wanted to make sure that we addressed every element of construction that was important to the player. The neck had to be just right. Neck stability cannot be sacrificed for speed. The Concert neck while extremely comfortable, is not too thin as to cause twisting as is often the case with many other bolt on neck basses in this price range. The pickups needed to be top notch. That is why we worked with Seymour Duncan in developing the Duncan Design ceramic and soapbar style pickups used on every model (with the exception of the C20). The construction had to be Jackson quality. If you put our Concert bass next to any other comparably priced bass out there, we think you will clearly see there is no comparison. This year we have added the Seymour Duncan Designed preamp to both of our active electronic models C4A and C5A.
